Testimonials
“The Character Always Character Cards have been an excellent addition to our school’s already successful CHARACTER COUNTS! program. The staff and students have noticed a positive change in attitude and behavior since the implementation of the cards. Students appreciate being recognized for showing good character and for their positive behavior. Our staff is more cohesive while working together to “catch” students doing the right thing rather than watching and waiting for students to do the wrong thing. Everyone is more positive and therefore happier. We have noticed a decrease in referrals, and an increase in positive feedback from parents.”

“I have worked with over 700 schools helping them develop character education philosophies on their campus. I have also come across many programs that have tried to produce the kind of results that Character Always is seeing in schools across America. When I try to explain Character Always to schools they often tell me they have seen what I am talking about, but let me tell you that you have NEVER seen what Character Always is offering! This program is going to give your classroom back to you. Finally, a program that takes ‘the stuff’ off your plate!

“The Character Always program is an essential piece of the CHARACTER COUNTS! program. If enforced correctly, it holds students, parents, and teachers accountable for student’s positive behavior. True, it also holds students accountable for when they make poor choices, too. I truly believe part of the missing piece in helping our children make better choices is accountability and focusing on the positive. What you focus on you give power to!”

“Last year was a rough year for the teachers at our school. We had many behavior issues and a lack of consistency on consequences. We spent a majority of our time focusing on the behavior problems. With Character Always we can put our focus on the positive behavior. We can invest in all the kids, and not just in trying to figure what to do with problem students. The program had caused me to reflect on my character, and bring that to my students. My classroom has done a 180, and I don’t feel frustrated at the end of the day. Thank you for bringing us the piece we were missing in our schools Character Education. I cannot tell you what an impact this has had on me and the way I teach.”

“Character Always has made a HUGE difference in my classroom. Students love the positives they receive. The Character Cards are a wonderful tool for parents as well. This program has encouraged me to find the student’s “currency” which in turn has helped me build relationships early in the school year”.

“I am very excited to start our school year with Character Always. In the past, it seems that all the concentration was on the children who had behavioral problems. What I like about this program is that it focuses on all of the kids. The kids who continuously follow directions are now getting the recognition that they deserve. As teachers, we know that in order to get the behavior we want, students need to be shown that we appreciate them and what they do. It is exciting to see the faces of the children when they receive a positive comment. I currently have a child who has had a lot of problems in the past. The day I asked to see his card so that I write a positive note, I saw shock followed by happiness. I have also had kids helping other students and teachers because they now know they will be recognized. It is a chain reaction that will only grow. I LOVE IT! Finally, we have a plan that will enable us to reach everyone. I know this is going to be a great year with this program.”

“We’ve had a great school, and Character Always has made it even better! Discipline is so often punitive instead of positive…way to go Character Always, you have put the accountability back on the kids where it has always belonged. Thanks for the tools that help me build solid relationships with my students. Finally, my focus is back on my instruction and I’m having fun again! And what a bonus! Our discipline referrals and detentions are non-existent!!!”

“Throughout the past two years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with the Character Always team. Since the inception of their program, I’ve noticed a complete transformation in the “culture” of our school. Kim and Cindy clearly have a passion for cultivating character in our youth and their impact on our school is a testament to their contribution. With the use of character cards and wall displays, our students have grown to recognize the importance of good character in everything they do. With Kim and Cindy’s continued support and innovative ideas, our school will continue to foster students of great character”

“I have been using the Character Cards created by the Character Always team for the past 2 years. Throughout this time, positive character choices have greatly impacted my classroom. On one side of the communication card students write positive character behaviors and the other side is for character infractions. Students LOVE to showcase their character and get very excited to take ownership of their positive choices. It is a great motivational tool to get kids thinking about and striving to show good character! Character Cards are a teacher friendly way to keep students responsible for their choices”
